Throughout our history, it has been our mission to encourage teachers to teach Canadian contemporary music, to motivate students to study and perform this music, and to encourage Canadian composers to write music for students of all levels from the most junior to the paraprofessional.

Job Description

ACNMP is seeking a part time Office Manager to coordinate all activities of the board, Contemporary Showcase Centres, and external partners. This is an administrative position that requires a high level of organization and time management as well as clear and effective communication both written and verbal. 

Responsibilities Include:

  • Coordinate all communication between 12 Contemporary Showcase Centres across Canada and support the digital file maintenance and gathering of statistics
  • Support Contemporary Showcase Centres with various challenges including venue and funding support
  • Maintain documentation and files including syllabus information, contact information, budget, scholarship submissions, meeting minutes and agendas
  • Liaise between board members, contractors, adjudicators, students and parents
  • Report quarterly to the Board of Directors and coordinate board meetings and Annual General Meetings
  • Promote and publicize activities and values of ACNMP through website, social media, and newsletters
  • Collaborate with and follow through on initiatives on behalf of ACNMP President and other board members
  • Support board members with digital documentation and file management
  • Write and compile documents for grant applications, funding proposals, and final reports
  • Organize and facilitate workshops as funding allows
  • Collaborate with community partners 
  • Update and maintain the ACNMP website
  • Hire and liaise with adjudicators including contract negotiations
  • Communicate with donors

Qualifications

  • A minimum of one year administrative experience
  • Strong skills with Google Drive and Word
  • Strong English language skills both written and spoken, French language skills would be a strong asset
  • Excellent communication through email, newsletter, and note taking skills
  • Experience in music and Canadian contemporary music specifically
  • Experience in music education would be an asset

Remuneration
