About the Red Deer Contemporary Showcase

Sessions: Sessions are supportive and encouraging. They are non-competitive in that no marks or rankings are given, but written and verbal remarks will be given. Canadian music will be performed and this will foster pride in Canadian talent!
There is a composition class and also vocal and piano duets are encouraged. Any Canadian music (Classical, jazz, musical theatre, pop etc.) may be entered and we encourage exploration of music. Repertoire suggestions are available on the ACNMP syllabus.

Donations: Donations are gratefully accepted to help run this festival and to continue it’s future. Your donation can help us keep registration fees low while helping to bring in highly qualified and experienced adjudicators. Any donation is appreciated and you will be given recognition in our program. Donations should be sent to Contemporary Showcase Treasurer, 3204-57th Ave, Red Deer AB, T4N 5V4. Admission by donation will be accepted at the door. We will also be having a used music book, CD and music related items sale at the festival. Donations can be dropped off at the same address before November 17.
